A few years a go the AMA sold the rights to their Superbike thing and the France family(the ones who own Daytona Speedway) decided to purchase it and run the day to day operations. Now if you do not know what Superbike racing is I will put it in a nutshell for you;

To be eligible the bike must be a production based vehicle that meets the minimum homologation numbers and engine displacement.

Superbike racing started here in the United States in the mid 70's and at one time our championship was 2nd only to the GP's, now known as motoGP for the younger peoples, and if you wanted to race GP's a good place to start was here in the States riding Superbikes. Many foreign riders competed in our championship including but not exclusive to a bunch of Canadians, Australians and a couple Brits. Now just about every country that has a race track has it's own national Superbike series, Mexico and Russia included, there is also the World Superbike Championship.
Back in the days of old the number of bikes on the grid was impressive and many of the riders were capable of winning the race, not just 3 or 4 front runners. The times and economy would take their toll on our series, first in the 80's then again in 90's and once more in the 2000's, only this time the AMA would allow someone else to take over and make things better.
The France family is a NASCAR oriented business and when they took over AMA Roadracing they instituted car racing policies like rolling starts and pace cars, all dismal failures to reinvent what didn't need overhauling. Today I looked at the schedule for 2014 AMA Roadracing and I see all of 5 races, none in California. 5 fucking races...
If the France family thought that buying the series and then taking it apart and limiting the races, showing said races 2 weeks after the fact would give their NASCAR series more airtime they have succeeded. They are also dumbing down America in the process by creating an atmosphere that Superbike racing doesn't really exist and with just 5 races on the schedule how can America ever hope to have a motoGP champion again?

Project Garage

My new door is up, kicks ass and it allows full movement of my 2 wheeled vehicles and looks very modern, it is sealed all the way around and it is the best thing I have done to my place since I moved in here. Next step will be dry walling and a drop ceiling and that should get it tight and right in the man cave.

The other day I caught a glimpse of the cover from a recent if not the latest "Culture" magazine, a glossy publication that caters to pot heads that think they have a medical condition but prefer a party atmosphere over a doctors office, they even have a column called "profile in courage" where they showcase an under 30 something with every gaming side effect known to mankind as a disease or illness, compelling reading if you can sift through all the ads that look like a cross between a rave-hip hop-Grateful Dead show with strippers added for effect. The issue I happened to come across has the Canadian singer Avril Lavigne on the cover and it proclaims her to be the "Princess of Punk". Should I even type anymore? Of course I will, that is why the blog exists, so I can exercise my fingers between coffee mug lifts.

Sean Penn the commie has agreed to melt down his weapon collection(65 pieces) at the request of his g/f  Charlize Theron, who's own father was killed by her mother after he allegedly aimed a gun and fired at her, self defense or a cowardly act? I am not sure who is the coward here, Charlize was obviously affected by the incident, but had her mother not shot her father would he have killed her mom? And what about Charlize? Was she in danger? Did her mom save her life? I will still say it is the coward behind the gun as much as it is the coward in front of the camera that does all the damage and causes all the grief.
Now before I put a period on this and call it a day I would like you to consider something for a moment; whenever a nut bag does a nutter routine and his or her house is raided, anything more than 3 weapons becomes an arsenal, what the fuck was the commie Sean Penn doing with 65 weapons? I want to be able to shoot bikes in my garage with the custom backdrop I have so in a way it will be my personal studio. I will have a dedicated area for a couple of my small bikes that I am restoring as well. My trophies, special posters and pics from the bike industry days will go up as well making it my man cave, I will have internet too so I can communicate with friends while hanging out in the garage.
Now I need an ATV to do work with on my lower property, a goat would be handy too...

Not since Munich has the Islamic terror world waited with such anticipation as the coming winter games in Russia. With all the terrorist attacks that have been going on, it is safe to say it isn't safe to be there. Putin has thrown down the gauntlet in anger to the Muslims that challenge his authority so it will be interesting to see what happens once the games begin. I doubt if the world wants to watch a war go on with the Olympic Games on the side, but who am I?
So far the terrorists are up on the Russian government in terms of tit for tat, the local police are impotent so the military will be doing the bulk of the work and this will look simply a lot like Syria pretty soon if the terrorists get serious, I just cannot see how the Olympic Committee thought it would be good to hold the games there, to me it defies all logic. If American athletes are in danger will the SEAL's come to their rescue?
Russia has an extensive history of Muslim insurgency in their region that gets little notice to the outside world and liberals in general, and how they go about rescuing hostages is near medieval in tactical efficiency. It might be possible that attacks on Western targets will shift to the Russian territory as success is good marketing and important for recruiting, it is also closer to Afghanistan as well, lending to fighters being able to move from one area to another easily and replenishing their ranks.
This moment will show how Putin handles a foreign policy matter at his doorstep with the world watching in full color, let's hope a replay of Munich doesn't happen...

PHD's, Professors, MSNBC And Motorcycle Mechanics

Remember a few post's back I talked shit on how liberals have a hard time controlling what comes out of their collective mouths and had a Republican said what they did we would have more than a couple of news outlets crying foul and pulling the race card, so how is MSNBC getting such a pass lately and are African-American journalists looking for a fight?

I was too poor to go to college but in my white life I have met many with PHD's in all kinds of subjects, I even worked on/near the UCR campus in the early 90's first as a cook then a bar manager at the Bull and Mouth, I even knew professors and a future one was among our staff at that time, I had to fire him on his last day of employment.
After the bar biz years later I would get into the bike stuff as a profession and would have to work alongside motorcycle mechanics generally trained by an OEM or ones who were race techs now holding day jobs.
I have never known a professor in his or her business setting but in the 2 fast moving shops I worked at(Malcolm Smith Motorsports and Pro Italia) for 13 years I have known a few bike mechanics. Just because someone said you can work on a bike doesn't mean you are good at it and some develop bad habits, others are more like artists. Some professors I have known were arrogant to the point of being  fascist, and I have know a couple race techs like that, but they work on bikes and not on the minds of students. School teachers at all levels can influence a student, but for the arrogant professor who demands his or her views be politically correct is like the one part time arrogant race tech/day mechanic I knew of from a local Ducati shop who got nabbed by the Vance and Hines Ducati team to be one of the guys, first day on the job he was let go. I was told by a friend on the team he simply "went stupid from the neck up".
To me sitting here bench racing with myself I would have to say MSNBC in their bid to out whitey as this horrible race monster have gone utterly stupid from the neck up. Show me all the adoptive white babies MSNBC.

On my trip back from NM and they found something that Ontario(California not Canada) missed, a small multi tool that I have been looking for the last 2 years. Because of the blade component I had to cough it up or go back to check in and pay $25 to give the bag with said device its own seat in the luggage hold. I gave it some serious thought, as it works great and usually sits alongside my full size Leatherman and is an excellent little buddy to the skipper. I asked if I could take a pic for my blog to document the incident for the world to see and they said "sure why not?", so I did. This was the moment they found how to extract it without cutting the bag apart which was the next step by the way, it was very small and they worked fast but that is the story and I am sticking to it.
Called my mom to tell her about it and she said no worries I have another one for you, my mom rocks!

Al Bum Had A Reason, What Was Your Excuse? - Pat Fear Tribute

Unless you live outside of the state, country or farther than 200 miles away, as it was on a Thursday and only announced 2 days prior after all, I don't know how humans from Riverside did not show up for this event. People from all over everywhere else found time to go, but the majority of Riverside musicians that seemingly looked up to Bill were just plain absent. Possibly I am missing something here not being part of the cool guy scene in Riverside, but even some I know who live in Los Angeles did not show, Tony from The Adolescents found time to walk among the people, I doubt the backstage area could contain the Riverside contingent that should have been there but maybe I am wrong.
Friends of Bill started the night off almost garage rock style and the kids got treated to obscure punk classics, The Germs(reformed and this gig with Charlotte Caffey) found time to be there and get the crowd really going , The Adolescents as they are now were there and tearing it up and the remnants of  White Flag did their part as well, minus Al Bum and the late great Bill Bartell known to the world of punk rock as Pat Fear, but not hearing the people from Riverside yelling between songs made me think. The White Flag set I hate to say got far less notice from the younger crowd as did the other bands but that was how it was to an extent back then in the good old days. I did leave before Red Kross I will admit, Bill would have understood as he knows how I am, at least I showed up and acted the way Bill would have remembered if it were 1982 all over again.
Watching flying-v's all night on stage was bitchen, the stories, jokes, the bands and people who took time, my 2 friends who came out, made the night something really fucking cool, someone posted that as nice as this is, it should have been done while Bill was alive, and I couldn't agree more except it would have to be a roast and not a tribute then. Perhaps the tight knit punk community in SoCal, the original DIY music movement needs to think about "Roasting" some of our pioneers.
I have to thank the Flipside Memorial FB crew for alerting me to this event, without them I would have been like the other faceless nameless Riverside rift raft that never showed. I want to thank Davi or is it Davy? A nice lady with an Al Bum face cut out on a stick, she took my pic with Al so I could be with him at the gig, Al is in the hospital and not able to attend, and with the show happening so fast it just happened that way I guess. DJ Howie Pyro spun the best Bill Bartell favorites in between bands and that was like hanging out with Bill one last time, I still have my White Flag, never going to lose that...
